Black Lives Matter
| The leadership of Transformus and Ignite!, including the Board of Directors, Ignite! Planning Association, and Transformus Leadership Caucus, have shared our perspective on inclusion at our events in the past. We think there’s more to say: We assert that Black people’s lives matter. We also firmly align ourselves with the mission of Black Lives Matter. We, the combined leadership of Ignite! and Transformus, commit ourselves to supporting the goals of Black Lives Matter, which they have succinctly described in this statement:We are “committed to struggling together and to imagining and creating a world free of anti-Blackness, where every Black person has the social, economic, and political power to thrive.” We support this statement without qualification or amendment. We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and their stated goals. We stand in solidarity with the oppressed everywhere, and we are committing ourselves to working towards a just and equitable future.
